China Enacts Military Drills Around Taiwan

China has initiated two-day military drills encircling Taiwan as a response to "separatist acts." This escalation comes after U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the island nation amidst rising tensions between China and the U.S. over Taiwan's sovereignty.
Chinese military aircraft and vessels have once more crossed the median line, separating mainland China from Taiwan. Images released by China's military on Monday depict fighter jets allegedly operating east of Taiwan.
In response, Taiwan's armed forces have deployed to observe and track Chinese forces. Taiwan's defense ministry shared images of F-16s on Friday, highlighting their readiness.
Beijing is anticipated to continue military exercises in the airspace and waters surrounding Taiwan through Sunday. These maneuvers have escalated tensions in the region, raising concerns about the potential for further conflict.
