Flight Headed To Rochester Diverted To Syracuse

American Airlines plane makes emergency landing in Syracuse after cabin odor

An American Airlines flight from Boston to Rochester made an emergency landing at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, after an odor was detected in the cabin.

The Airbus A321 jet carrying 108 passengers and six crew members landed safely in Syracuse, where it was met by emergency personnel.

No injuries were reported, and all passengers and crew were deplaned safely.

The airline is investigating the cause of the odor.
