Perisic poised to sign for Dutch giants

Former Tottenham and Bayern Munich star Ivan Perisic is reportedly on the verge of joining Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.

The Croatian winger, who left Spurs in 2021 after two seasons in north London, is a free agent after leaving Bayern at the end of last season.

Perisic has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Manchester United and Chelsea, but it is now believed that a move to PSV is close to being agreed.

The Dutch club are in need of reinforcements after a disappointing season in which they finished fourth in the Eredivisie.

Perisic, who is a versatile player who can play on either wing or as a forward, would bring a wealth of experience to the PSV squad.

The 33-year-old has won league titles in Croatia, Germany and Italy, and has also played in the Champions League and Europa League.

A move to PSV would represent a return to the Netherlands for Perisic, who spent three seasons with FC Twente from 2006 to 2009.

He is expected to undergo a medical at PSV in the coming days and could be unveiled as a new signing by the end of the week.
